Hello!

HorseLife.blog is about horses and a little bit about life.

For a horse lover, the two are not separate. Having horses is a lifestyle. It’s about caring for your hooved family despite the weather, from early in the day to late at night.

It’s about the things you want to do with your horse, the dreams you have yet to accomplish. It’s about the choices you make, often putting horses’ needs first. And, even when you are away from your horses, they are not far from your mind.

This thing called life, whew! it is so busy. With so many demands on our time, it is easy to put off the one thing that recharges a horse lovers’ batteries – time with the horses!

I have long placed family’s needs first. I’ve always said to myself, “I’ll do something with my horses after I get the washing done, after the kitchen is clean, the dinner made, once the children are in school, or, out of school,” …. the list is endless… because well there are always more dirty clothes, another meal to be made, another whatever!

So fool am I to have taken so long to realize this. But life is a journey and I’m still learning – I must not be an old dog yet!

For HorseLife.blog, I plan to share how I find time to do something and nothing with my horses – yes it’s a thing. And of course, a lifetime of study of these beautiful beings has taught me a thing or two about keeping them healthy, happy, and sound.

I’m a firm believer that when we know better, we do better. And when are passionate about horses, we never stop learning.

At the moment, I have several areas of interest regarding horses that I am delving deeply into. I’m excited to share my passion and what I learn along the way. I’d be honoured to have you join me.

Thank you!

  1. Thanks, hard to know what to do since I like horses but not a ‘horse lover’ so here’s my reply: good to be kind to horses since they don’t take up much time, food or other stuff so… be kind to horses!
